A Quick Trip to Southwinds Resorts

I rarely go on travel I reckon the last time that I had was last 2015. Sad to say that as my day job and blogging works mount I could no longer find time to squeeze for travels.

But we all know that travel is good for your health it has been scientifically proven and by travelers themselves that travel indeed lowers your stress level and it helps improves your brain health.

I was on a 3 day short trip to Manila visiting my boyfriend and he made sure that we could at least go out of town. He like me is also burned out from work and a rapid time away from the city life is certainly a good idea.

So after a tiring yet thrilling day at Enchanted Kingdom we headed to pansol Laguna. A 1-2 hours (private car) drive from Manila.

Laguna aside from being recognized as the cradle of our National hero Dr. Jose Rizal it is well distinguished as the Resort Capital of the Philippines. More or less it houses 700 hot springs resorts. And that is one reason why my boyfriend wanted to go there he wanted to take part of the healing benefits of hot springs.

After a series of resort hopping (we are hoping to find a budget friendly resort we could stay in for the night) he finally settled for Souhtwinds Resort located at Pansol, Calamba City, Laguna. A wholesome family oriented resort that offers wonderful facilities and amenities at very affordable rates.

it’s really is a nice place to relax and unwind. The resort has 5 swimming pools (5 ft, 4 ft, 3 ft and 2 kiddie pools), wide parking space, a videoke lounge and a grilling area.

Unfortunately, they do not have hot springs but the water in the pools emits naturally warm water so it is still very soothing.

So whether you want to swim all day or all night you won’t have to worry about cold water.

THE ROOM

We got an air-conditioned couple room for only Php1,385.00. It's very huge, especially the bathroom. But they do not have telephones in the room and they don't have wifi connections. Well, at least there's a good purpose to it. You go there to enjoy the real world and not live the virtual life.

how to get there:

*Private Car: From Manila, take SLEX and exit to Calamba. Drive straight towards Calamba proper junction and turn right. SOUTHWINDS is located along National Highway.

*Bus: From manila, take Tritran, Jam, DLTB or HM Bus Liners with destination going to Sta. Cruz Laguna. These buses will bring you right infront of SOUTHWINDS Resort. Bus Terminals are located at the Buendia,Taft Avenue and in Cubao for HM Liners.
