I Made the Switch From DIY Creams to Hey Sugar

November 17, 2018

I know that most women prefer to get their body hairs removed. But the thought of painful waxing or the negative aftermath of shaving sometimes made me think thrice but my trip to Hey Sugar made me changed my mind towards body hair removal.

So while shaving is quicker, I have to do it way more often than I’m comfortable with. And while waxing is all the rage, I wasn’t about to put myself through the horror stories that I’ve tried to avoid for years.

I found a legit alternative to both shavings and waxing, it was the messy clutter of DIY creams for me. It was a few months ago when a friend of mine started raving about sugaring. It was simple, straightforward, got the job done, and it was great for your skin. Best of all, it was PAIN-FREE.
I know it sounds too good to be true but then I took a trip to Hey Sugar and tested it out myself. The technique may be similar to waxing, but the gentle mix of all natural ingredients used combined with the expert technique used by Hey Sugar technicians is great for my skin. It was a sugary, sweet experience

First the aestheticians  cleanse my body with specially formulated alcohol then dusted it with cornstarch to help get rid of extra oil and gives skin the extra protection it needs and it was then followed by waxing  fresh wax made from 100% sugar is poured into a new cup (which we immediately toss out when your session is over). Each service is finished off with a smooth application of virgin coconut oil to help soothe the skin and lessen the chances of irritation.

I feel pampered with every trip to Hey Sugar—and waxing no longer feels like punishment or a chore.
And this coming November 27 every girl can experience what I have experienced as Hey Sugar celebrates it's National Hair Free Day from 11:00 AM to 3:00PM
