Japanese Film Festival EIGASAI to Run in Iloilo & Bacolod this August 2017

One of Manila's popular and successful film festival is coming to Bacolod and Iloilo for the first time! Here's what you need to know about the 20th edition of Japanese Film Festival | EIGASAI 2017

EIGASAI is the annual Japanese Film Festival organized by the Japan Foundation, Manila for enthusiasts of contemporary Japanese cinema, arts and culture.
 It was Launched in 1997 and since then EIGASAI has grown to one of the largest and popular film festivals attracting over 20,000 audiences every year across the Philippines, showcasing a vast variety of cinematic delights from drama, romance, anime to recently released films in Japan. 

BACOLOD
August 24-27 at SM City Bacolod
- FREE screening
- Seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis
- Movie lineup: Her Love Boils Bathwater, The Long Excuse, The Magnificent Nine, Tsukiji Wonderland, What a Wonderful Family!, Creepy, Chihayafuru Part.1, Chihayafuru Part.2, Sweet Bean (An), The Anthem of the Heart, and The Mohican Comes Home.
- A Tagalized film, Bakuman, will also be screened during this festival leg.
- The organizers together with their sponsor, Canon Philippines, is running a contest in Bacolod where you can win a special prize plus limited edition EIGASAI polo shirt. The campaign will run until August 24, noon. You can check out the full details here.
ILOILO
- August 25-29, FDCP Cinematheque Iloilo
- FREE screening
- Seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis
- Movie lineup: Her Love Boils Bathwater, What A Wonderful Family!, Sweet Bean (An), Tsukiji Wonderland, Chihayafuru Part.1, Chihayafuru Part.2, and The Magnificent Nine.
- Watch the Tagalized versions of If Cats Disappeared From The World and Sadako vs. Kayako.
